Saas Fee welcomes visitors with reduced mobility

The Para-Alpine Skiing initiative was developed in close collaboration between the Swiss Ski School Saas-Fee, Eskimos and Ski Zenit to offer people of all abilities a safe and unforgettable experience on the piste.

Saas-Fee, often regarded as one of the most breathtaking ski areas in the Alps, previously had limitations in resources and equipment for people with reduced mobility wanting to ski, so this initiative bridges that gap by making skiing more accessible and visible in Saas-Fee, ultimately encouraging more disabled skiers to experience everything the resort has to offer.

Many accommodations are barrier-free to help make the experience as enjoyable as possible, and even the Mittelallalin at 3500m above sea level is easily accessible: The highest underground railway in the world takes you to the highest revolving restaurant in the world, where you can see the highest Swiss mountain, the 4545m high Dom, right in front of you. Also accessible is the Kreuzboden/Hohsaas area above Saas-Grund, from where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Mischabel chain with 18 peaks over 4,000m high! The new Hannig cable car has also been designed to be completely barrier-free, making it possible for everyone to reach the sunny mountaintop.
